CommentsHi i'm looking for a mini r/c sub-marine for my aqauarium
CommentsWell, I am ready to start my second sub. I built an Albatros and enjoyed working on it after each mission. The not so water tight compartment leaked, and still does, like a seive. I had to dry and clean electronics each time. Now, I would like to try the WTC 3.5 and see if I have better luck. I will install it in the Albatros while I am working on a Los Angles Class of 59 inches.I live in Arizona where we use man made lakes and ponds for model boat use. Write if you wish, I will answer. Jim
Commentsyour web was brought to my attention via my former submariners aboard the U.S.S. SEA OWL [SS405]

CommentsDavid, thanks for the artical on building gas fired torpedoes. I would like to use your knowledge and developement in building my own torpedoes for a converted gato sub 1/92. I was not clear as to how you achieved the frictional fit of the torpedo to the breech mechanism. That portion of the design is not clear. I would be gratefull if you could explain it to me with a diagram if possible. My other concern was that the launching mechanism operates by discharging a blast of propell into the launching tube and thereby releasing the torpedo from its mounting ,thus allowing the charged torpedo to run on its own. Is that correct? A very ingenious design with a very simplistic and easy approach. Awaiting your response Larry Cohen

CommentsHi, I'm from Singapore and have the interest of ships, subs, airplanes building and all are RC. Presently, I'm semi retire and wish to look for new kits in ship building of at least 42" long hull type. Prefer to build WW2 Battleships or frigates. I owned a Japanese destroyer "Minegumo" which is equiped with lightings & smoke stack. Any interesting kits you can reply to me for mail order?
CommentsGood site. i like it. I want to start, but all i can find are super small subs. i want one like 2 feet long but pretty cheap. could u tell me a site or place i can get one. I think that it would cool to have a really big sub and it would have a clear front and a camera lookin out the clear glass or plastic front. Then on the controler there would be a screen to look at what is happinin in the depths where the sub is. I might do this as a project next year in middle school. again, kool site.

CommentsDear Dave, Great site! Definitely an inspiration, for a neophyte like myself. You are on a level of craftsmanship that makes exceedingly difficult accomplishments achieveable[almost]by we mere mortals. Is level attainable through "sweat ecquity" or is this level building/creative talent "genetic"
CommentsDo you have any suggestions for a nine year old who is totally crazy about submarines and would love a R/C Submarine.
CommentsDear Dave I am ordering a 2 ft flying sub from Rick Teskey. He told me you make the hatch covers. I would like to purchase these hatch covers for the 2 ft flying sub. I am also purchasing the proteus. Are you considering doing an interior kit for the flying sub. I would like to do an interior complete with lighting. Also are you making any additional parts for Rick's proteus. I collect scifi models. I own a 4ft C-57D fiber glass saucer and also an original prop from Forbidden Plant, (Force Field Fence that keep the ID monster away from the saucer). I have a 7 ft working Robby the Robot as well as various props from Lost in Space: radar panel, computer console, and switch plate all original from the seriies and in working order. Please email me if I can purchase the hatch covers for the flying sub. Also I enjoyed your web site. Sincerely, Monte L. Earwood

CommentsHello, I'm a student in Aurora, Ontario, and part of an experimental physics class. The purpose of this class is to allow those interested in engineering to choose a project of any kind, and spend the entire school year working on it,(with everything being logged, and progress reports along the way). My partner and are determined to make, from scratch, a r/c model submarine, but we have no experience in this field. Your website has answered many of our questions, but I still don't really know the difference between r/c controlled and static controlled subs. We also must both find and meet or converse over e-mail with a mentor. It has been difficult to find anyone with expertice in the Aurora/Newmarket area, so if you know anyone who could help guide uu, their help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

(I said i'm a beginner). It did last longer than my RC airplane adventure. I would love to see a 1/32 gato class that I could build as a surface model. By the way I took out my speed gem and replaced the PT boat with twin 580's Bryan
